Community Volunteer Opportunities

New Beginnings is a licensed behavioral treatment center providing comprehensive care for individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues. We offer Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Mental Health Therapy to provide our clients with personalized care tailored to their unique needs. Our team of compassionate professionals is dedicated to helping our clients achieve lasting recovery and wellness. With a focus on holistic healing, we offer a range of services to empower our clients on their journey towards a healthier, happier life. New Beginning Recovery House for Women and Men was started in 2022, by Cementhia Mines. Cementhia Mines is a recovering Alcoholic, who will be celebrating 10 years clean in September 2024.

Morrissey also works with other organizations like New Beginning Recovery that provide recovery services for people transitioning out of inpatient treatment facilities. Tony Robbins program was a 4-day program presented to our residents and the community to enhance their life skills. We offer comfortable, safe, residential living for those in recovery rebuilding their lives.

At Beginnings Recovery, we are dedicated to providing a transformative and holistic healing experience for all individuals seeking sobriety. Our intensive outpatient facility offers a comprehensive spiritual journey through practices such as Breathwork, Sound Baths, Wellbriety, and Meditation.

New Beginnings offers outpatient therapy for individuals seeking help in dealing with the struggles and stressors in their everyday life. Current residents are welcoming to newcomers, committed to sobriety, and supportive of on another. The house culture holds resident accountable for unhealthy behaviors, and requires a high degree of adherence to house rules, and maintaining a healthy living environment. In addition to an investment in other resident’s recovery, each resident is expected to be a good neighbor and engaged citizen through volunteerism in the community. New Beginnings Recovery Center is located in central Alabama one hour from Birmingham. Our program is implemented as a 12-step, 12-month, Christ-centered program.

Our program of recovery also values peer support, which has brought great success in changing many lives. When you move into one of our houses, you’re not just moving into a sober house, you’re moving into a recovery community. We are dedicated to helping individuals in early recovery rebuild their lives. From detoxing to training the body to function without drugs or alcohol, tackling physical addiction is the first step to recovery. Our houses regularly band together to strengthen the community, whether it is volunteering at the neighborhood soup kitchens or attending awareness fundraisers. We found that these steps of action in the community build the very foundation for us to stand on while rebuilding our lives.

Cementhia Mines started New Beginning Recovery House to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals who are overcoming addiction or mental health challenges. It aims to offer a structured setting where residents can focus on their recovery journey, surrounded by peers and staff who understand their struggles and can offer guidance and encouragement. The ultimate goal is to help residents reintegrate into society with the necessary tools and support to maintain their sobriety and mental wellness long-term.

On site gym, cold Plunge, infared Sauna, convenient to IOP and therapy etc. Our Vision is to provide a personal transformation from engaging in the core values of life. Our goal is to be a resource for the community, hospitals, treatment centers, recovery houses, and most importantly the addict/alcoholic who is struggling and needs a place to go until the services they need are available. New Beginning Sanctuary (NBS) is a 12-month or longer sober living program offering both faith-based and secular recovery options, including Medically Assisted Treatment. Based in Springfield, MO, NBS is a self-funded 501(c)(3) organization with no financial ties to religious groups and serves as a level 2 recovery support service provider. For teen rehab to succeed over the long term, patients must address the underlying issues that make them feel dependent on drugs or alcohol.

We are very proud to announce that we opened our fifth house in remembrance of the late Dick Ranaudo, a man who helped many people in their journey through recovery. We partner with local pharmacy to provide a better meds management for our guest. They will deliver and sort it on a bubble pack for better medicine management weekly and help our guests track their medication. The challenges of substance abuse aren’t one-dimensional, and neither are our solutions for treatment.

The job coach of our partner agency comes to coach any guests that are looking for jobs. New Beginning Guests are required to engage in some sort of community service work. One on one therapy with a Licensed Addiction Counselor to help consumes recognize and identify destructive behaviors.
