Chemical Solutions

In addition to the standard cleaning methods, SAKNAFTA Chemical Solutions offers a broad range of chemical cleaning services for pipeline and processing systems. Chemical cleaning is typically used to remove deposits such as scale, corrosion, wax, paraffin and asphalting sediments from pipelines, piping systems and processing equipment . The use of solvents and surfactant-based cleaning chemicals has proven to be more effective than mechanical cleaning.

Chemical cleaning is widely used for commissioning and de-commissioning of pipelines and processing plants to increase productivity and efficiency, to improve inspection results, and to maintain the quality of the product.
In pipelines the use of solvents and surfactant-based cleaning chemicals is more effective than the mechanical cleaning, which relies only on pigs.

Typical systems that could be chemically cleaned are;

  • Suction lines of rotating process equipment
  • Product pipelines (including Oxygen lines)
  • Oil & gas pipelines
  • Process piping
  • Process Towers (i.e. glycol and Amine)
  • Heat exchangers
  • Heat transfer lines.

Products:

The majority of the products used by SAKNAFTA Egypt  Chemical Solutions are environmentally friendly and biodegradable, which reduces the cost for waste disposal.
These products provide a cost-effective and easy-to-use approach to pipeline and system cleaning.

SAKNAFTA Egypt Chemical Solutions utilizes new chemical cleaning technologies to improve the cleaning operations of oil and gas pipelines.

The new products are highly concentrated blends of biodegradable surfactants and synthetic solvents capable of wetting and removing the most tenacious deposits encountered in oil and gas pipelines.
